This is a single family residence constructed on a 30’ wide waterfront lot shoehorned into a densely packed neighborhood. The project is like a spy-glass focused on the beautiful waterscape of Lake Washington. Every space in the house gravitates toward the lake that provides relief from the compression of the site. Solid walls with a continuous skylight on the north and large opaque windows on the south provide privacy and light while the walls to the west disappear into full wall sliding doors. Concrete, steel truss joists, cedar siding and in-floor hydronic heating create a spare and yet very warm feeling.
