In territory governed by monocultural big agriculture (alfalfa, mint and soy), this master plan study was created to illustrate the potential benefits of converting part of the region to vineyards, wineries, and hospitality infrastructure. The study also recommended the establishment of meadows that would serve as natural animal habitats. Reusing and restoring existing ponds was part of the program.
Across the spectrum, the study looked for ways to balance the artificiality of mechanized agriculture by promoting more sustainable use of the land.
