What do you do when you have a 1970’s house that’s not supporting your personal interests? You plan for the future.
Our clients’ wanted “playful spaces” in which to pursue their diverse passions: textile art, music, dance, and – of course – reading. As both were on the verge of retirement, they liked the idea of keeping within the general footprint of the house and reorganizing existing space. The result? Greater efficiency and more flexibility. the addition of strategically placed windows allowed light to penetrate all ground-floor spaces.
Up top, reached by a staircase/bookcase, a new second floor main bedroom suite and a roof deck completed the transformation.
