Seattle Commercial Architect

At Ectypos, we’re all about elegant, functional space. It’s the thought we hold as we approach each commercial, or multi-use project. It’s also the cornerstone of our practice when it comes to planning.

As architects, we’re committed to high-quality design as well as to supporting a healthy community and environment. We believe our clients are too.

Multi-Use & Commercial Design

At Ectypos Architecture, we look to identify the opportunities– and the challenges– particular to each multi-use or commercial style job. Multi-use and commercial styles can be complicated. However, those complexities often raise the profile of the design outcome. Intricacies can include the job’s program, site, budget, code constraints, and other external elements.

In every circumstance, our objective is to fulfill the developer’s needs and the individuals who will eventually live, work, or visit the building. In doing so, our design outcome serves to raise both job and revenue capacity.

Firm Leadership

Lucia Pirzio-Biroli
AIA, principal

As an architect, Lucia Pirzio-Biroli holds true to her personal philosophy: good design is practical, elegant, and timeless.

It’s a belief that came naturally. Raised in the Pacific Northwest on Mercer Island, Lucia’s family had an appreciation for design, art, and landscape—everything a house can provide a natural home to.  Eventually, her personal appreciation for the everyday values of beauty and functionality took a professional turn.
